b-live and the ICAEW (The Institute of Chartered Accountants) have launched their most exciting competition yet – Step into Business 2009. Based on the popular BBC TV series Dragons’ Den, this exclusive competition places your students in the hot seats typically reserved for dragons Jones, Bannatyne, Meaden and Paphitis.
Participating students will be asked to invest an imaginary £50,000 in one of three fictional products and use business analysis models to ascertain which is the most financially viable.
The winning team will win an all expenses paid trip to London to mix the business of picking up career-boosting skills with the pleasure of visiting the capital’s top tourist attraction!

Step into Business 2009 covers key components of the business studies curriculum, exercises employability skills and also supports your school’s delivery of key skills and ECM outcomes 4 and 5.
Three comprehensive Lesson Plans and supporting documents will enable you to deliver the competition with ease.
