ALL ABOUT WICKED

"...THE BEST SHOW I'VE EVER SEEN IN THE WEST END" Capital FM

A WONDERFUL AND WICKED TALE

Remember the oh-so-scary Wicked Witch in the wonderful Wizard of Oz?

Was she really always so, well, wicked? Have you ever wondered what her side of the story was?

WICKED gives you the opportunity to hear (and see) her story up close in all its West End glory!

Based on Gregory Maguire's acclaimed 1995 novel, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, WICKED takes its audience back in time, before Dorothy and Toto left Kansas, and two young Shiz University sorcery students – the blonde, popular Glinda and the misunderstood Elphaba – struck up an unlikely but intense friendship.

Following an encounter with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, their friendship reaches a crossroads and their lives take very different paths. Glinda's quest for popularity sees her seduced by power while Elphaba's determination to remain true to herself, and to those around her, will have unexpected and shocking consequences for her future…

Wicked was first performed in June 2003 at the Curran Theatre in San Francisco and opened in London’s West End just over six years later. WICKED has gone on to win multiple awards and run at theatres across the globe. Find out more at www.wickedthemusical.co.uk
