Ever dreamt of seeing your very own news story aired live on TV? Well, ITV News is set to make your dream a reality thanks to its exclusive competition ‘OVER TO YOU’
Be on the news
ITV News is looking for students who can come up with some great story ideas to turn into fantastic TV news.
All you have to do is send in your ideas for a TV news piece and if they impress the news team at ITV News, then you’ll be invited to your ITV regional newsroom where your item will be filmed, edited and shown on a live news programme. What an experience!

Spending quality time with professional broadcast journalists making real TV news will not only give you a chance-of-a-lifetime opportunity to find out how news is made, but will also be a real plus on your CV – showing that you have real media industry experience.
How to enter
To enter, you need to be in Year 9, 10, or 11 and part of a b-live school. (You can only enter as part of a school team.)
To get your school involved this, simply print off this page, take it into class and persuade your teachers to get involved. This could well be your first step towards a dream career in the media!
